When should I book my milestone session?
I book 2-3 months in advance. Keep in mind weekend dates are usually the first to go. If you have an elaborate theme or one that requires special order you will need to book 4- 6 weeks in advance.
How many set ups do we get?
Depending on the package that you choose you will get 1 or 2 sets.
Do you do custom themes?
YES!! You will have options. We can do a solid backgrounds, keep it simple or we can go with something more elaborate. Keep in mind, if you have an elaborate theme, I might need to order supplies for the session, so please allow extra time for that when booking your date.
How old should my baby be?
First Birthday photoshoots can be scheduled anytime between 11-13 months. If you will be wanting the photos back in time for their birthday party please schedule at least 3 weeks before the party.
How much will the milestone session cost?
Prices start at $175. Once we have everything finalized; theme, date, location, time, an invoice will be sent. Your session is not confirmed until your 25% deposit has been paid.
How many pictures will we receive?
For milestone pictures, I am to deliver 50+ highly edited detail images.
Do I need to bring anything?
Outfits and the cake. Due to allergies, parents must provide the cake.
How should I prepare my baby for a cake smash session?
Let your baby have some cupcakes (the little ones the grocery store makes are perfect) ahead of time. Let them play and get messy without wiping their hands. Make sure they've been introduced to something sweet as well. Babies don't naturally love sugar and may gag or cry at first taste!
Can I add additional family members to the milestone session?
Please note when booking this session that portraits will be baby or individual celebrating the milestone. Additional charges will apply if a mini family session is added to the session on top of the milestone portraits.
Where will the session take place?
You have the option of photographing at your house or mine in my mini studio. If I am supplying all the supplies, backdrop, balloons, props, it is easier for me to have everything set up here in advance. If you are supplying everything, we can totally photograph at your house.
